Preston have completed the signing of attacker Graham Burke for a reported fee of €300,000.

The Shamrock Rovers forward has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Whites to confirm a move that’s been floating around the rumour mill for a couple of weeks now.

Burke, who scored his first Republic of Ireland goal earlier in the month, has had a few stints in English football with the likes of Aston Villa and Notts County.

But now at the age of 24, Burke has been impressing in the League of Ireland where he has scored 12 goals in 21 matches this season.

He has the ability to play anywhere in an attacking area but it is likely that Preston will hope to use him as a secondary striker or out wide.

The club are certainly no stranger to cherry picking young talent from the League of Ireland, with four players making the move to Lancashire in the past 18 months.
