The club have announced that forward Stevie May has joined Scottish side Aberdeen on a four-year contract.

The 24-year-old has previously succeeded in the SPL with St Johnstone prior to his move to England, scoring 20 league goals in a season where his side finished 6th in the table.

May signed for Preston from Sheffield Wednesday in 2015 but didn’t make the impact that he would have liked to following a severe injury which kept him out for over 12 months.

On his return from injury he also struggled to force his way into the first team due to the high levels of performances flowing throughout the whole squad.

May’s only goal for the club came on the final home game of the season where he scored a brilliant goal against Rotherham United, expertly finding the top corner.

He will now join up with the Dons and will be available for selection in this weekend’s clash away at Hearts.
